In Houston, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8:30 amβ5:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Great service, very knowledgable staff. Lots of very different types of plants to pick from as well as special fertilizers for them. Highly recommend this location.

I am genuinely surprised that I have not posted a review of this place yet. I've been here many, many times and likely will be back even more. First of all, the staff here are lovely. They are kind, patient, and have extensive knowledge about the plants they sell. I absolutely love gardening, but I lack the experience to be as successful as I would like to be at it. I unfortunately have managed to kill a fair few plants (my BANE Is the Tuscan Blue rosemary, to the point that some people here KNOW who I am just because of that). They have a VERY generous return policy so I know I have a bit of a net (although I did end up giving up on getting that one variety for a time since I felt guilty). Outside of that, they have a marvelous selection of plants. There are so many varieties of herbs, vegetables, flowers, trees, and other plants that are tailored for the Houston climate. I purchased some trees for my first wedding anniversary from here and they are still going strong. In short, I love this place. The staff is lovely, their selection is vast, and their prices are quite good. I highly recommend coming here.

Plants for All Seasons on Highway 249 is, quite simply, the standard. Let there be no confusion: this praise belongs to the 249 location, not the other one, which in my experience does not operate with nearly the same level of excellence. At 249, one finds something increasingly rare. Standards. Real standards. The plants are beautiful, the store feels cared for rather than merely stocked, and the entire experience carries the unmistakable mark of people who take pride in doing things properly. And then there is the staff: Cat, Sheri, and Kelly, each of whom deserves to be named because excellence this consistent ought not remain anonymous. They bring warmth, knowledge, patience, and that rare gift of making a customer feel not processed, but genuinely helped. Their presence elevates the place from a garden center to something closer to a sanctuary for those of us weary of mediocrity. Plants for All Seasons on 249 is not merely good. It is the kind of place that restores oneβs faith that care, taste, and true service still exist. Four stars only, because if I give five to a nursery of this caliber, I must then demand the same grace and competence from the rest of the world, and

This place lives up to its name! It also carries Planters, mulch and soil for all seasons too. I love how organized everything is, and there are so many staff available for any questions. They have fruits, veggies, bourganvillas, trees, shrubs, native plants galore. It's the best nursery in Willowbrook/Vintage area.

One of my favorite places in the Houston area to buy plants. Staff are nice and knowledgeable. They have lots of different plants and unlike other nurseries it is small and easy to walk around and find what you want. I do think some of their plant prices are high but on the flip side some are really low, so it kind of just depends on what you are buying. Definitely worth a stop to give them a try for your planting needs.
